if you have any idea i can buy ir
thanks
Hello, sorry that i write here my question. But i dont find an contact form. I like to buy your stuffed tracker, if it track keyword conversions to sale (BUT i am affiliate) the thanks page i can put an code or an pixel. I only can use sub id´s from the networks.
thanks for fast reply to my emailadress
OK, now I know the blog works!
Question for Sergey. If the company is on hold then is the stuffed tracker software still available to buy? It would appear so as the “buy” links appear to be active. It seems odd that the “company on hold” information isn’t a bit more prominent as it took me a week to realise that you had closed!
This is a real pity because I had set my heart on ST vs Google Ananlytics as there seem to be plenty of good reviews. I would be grateful for a reply. At $129 I still think it’s worth it with no support, just need to know for sure. Otherwise it’s going to have to be Mint or Piwik!
Thanks
Dan
Hello Dan.
I am not sure I understood your question.
The buy links are still active because we thought people might still want to purchase the software even without the support and further development.
Hello Sergey, thanks for the quick response.
I actually bought Stuffed Tracker back in 2003, used it for a year and then forgot about analytics for a while!
Now I am back in the market for analytics as a replacement for Google Analytics and it appears that you are reviewed and ranked well as a self hosting Google Analytics alternative.
I think you’ll have trouble getting people to buy it if they can’t communicate with the company at all, not even through the forum. It just looks suspicious, offering a product but not being clear about the situation with the company. As I said, I did not know you were “on hold” until today and when I found out I then assumed the product would be unavailable – that is why I’ve resorted to posting on the blog which I actually did not expect to work, lol.
Would you consider paid for support? I’m still interested as ST appears to do more than the competition.
Dan
Sorry, Dan — we are not able to provide any kind of support for the products for the time being.
As I was already replying somewhere around here on a similar question about suspicious — we’ve moved completely to other full time ventures and if nobody purchase the products while Stuffed Guys are on hold it’s completely fine for us, we just wanted to keep the possibility to purchase if someone still wants the software.
If the purchase is done by mistake without knowing that there is no support we do a quick refund without any questions asked.
I am still hoping to return to the products at some point and continue their development and support but I can’t estimate when this can happen as of now.
Thanks Sergey.
Is there an unofficial Stuffed Tracker forum available, like the Factory Nova one?
Whilst I doubt I will need any development work I am worried that it might not work “out of the box” so to speak.
Dan
None that I know of.
If I install the trial and I get that working, is there anything else to do to make it the full version (other than paying)? I’m thinking that if I trial it and it works then I shouldn’t have any problems with it. I’m assuming that nothing will have fundamentally changed in internet protocols that would stop this working!
Dan
No, that’s all. When you pay, you purchase a license key and just enter it in the ST’s control panel.
OK, this is why pre-installation support is useful – I get:
(14:55:52) Your trial version has expired. You will need to purchase a license key from Stuffed Guys to continue using this software.
Having only downloaded it on the 16th. The installation said it was a success however the link to run it for the first time produced an “error” url. If I go to index.php, even though I can log in it still asks me for a license key.
Lol, is it the end already?
Thanks
Dan
Worked it out and got tracking installed. It looks very impressive and looking forward to the trial. Obviously there’s no support but is it feasible for me to update the libraries:
Browsers
Operating systems
Robots
Search engines
If I know I can add to these without reliance on any kind of support then I’m happy.
Thanks
Dan
I think you should be able to look at the XML format used for all of this data in the corresponding files in the “store” directory. You can update those files manually in that directory and then click on the Update database button on the Administration / Libraries page and this will add the newly added data from XML files to the tracking database.
Sergey, I know you didn’t have to respond via this medium so thanks again. I hope to place an order soon.
Dan
Unfortunately, we still have to decide this system not to buy for our company.
Reasons for this are:
- No more support from the publisher.
- No further development of the system.
If the publisher was still active in this system, we certainly had purchased a license, because this system is everything we need.
We think its too risky to purchase a productlicence which no longer be granted.
We wanted to purchase the entire system for $ 429,95, but we dont want to pay for a system which is not further developed.
Its sad that products like this, perfect products, not be maintained and further developed anymore.
Well, now we have too look to another system and I think its unpossible to find a great product like this.
I have trialled this for the last few weeks and can say that we have decided to go for it. There are a couple of questions that I hope the forum can answer but I am happy so far – nice product. One thing that Sergey said above:
“XML format used for all of this data in the corresponding files in the “store” directory”
My store directory only contains the crossdomain.xml file so I am wondering where examples of these can be had.
Hopefully sales will increase and support will come back!
Dan
Here are the files:
http://my.stuffedguys.com/sales/xml/browser.xml
http://my.stuffedguys.com/sales/xml/engine.xml
http://my.stuffedguys.com/sales/xml/os.xml
http://my.stuffedguys.com/sales/xml/other.xml
http://my.stuffedguys.com/sales/xml/search.xml
Try downloading them from that locations and then upload on the Libraries page in Stuffed Tracker. These are the files that are used in the latest version of Stuffed Tracker to update the database with new browsers, operating systems and such.
Thanks Sergey, I will be putting in an order in the next couple of days when the trial expires.
Our SEO/PR guys are more than happy with this product and now I can update the things I need to be able to update and to keep it up to date. Goodbye Google Analytics and hello my own private data!
Thanks again Sergey.
Dan
I have just purchased the full license with full knowledge that it is not officially supported. Having been pleased with the trial, I think this is a viable alternative to Google Analytics and our SEO guys are more than happy with it. FYI I have looked at other products but they are either too simplistic or too expensive. For me Stuffed Tracker is the best of both worlds.
If you’re in two minds I say trial it and then get it, especially for this price. Now I know how to update the things that can change (browsers, bots etc) I can’t see any reason why I would need anything else changed. To put it in context, I’ve been runnning a similar tracking script as part of a shopping cart that I have not had to change in 3 years and it still gives me what I want. What I’m saying is I believe I will get the longevity from this product. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have been reviewing your software for a few days and I am planning to buy agency license but need to know answers before I purchase.
* I have a many clients running on my servers, and I wanted to know if we can white label different instances for different clients? So each client has its own logo and report views and such?
* I have cloud server which has many of my client’s campaigns… each campaign is a different URL (Example: http://www.client1.com/campaign1, http://www.client1/campaign2, http://www.client2.com/capaign1, http://www.client2/campaign2, etc – all on the same server) on the server so does Stuffed Tracker support multiple domains and multiple subdomains by same code base on a cloud server?.
* I place 5 banners a piece on 4 vendors (Yahoo, MSN, Ad.com, and Facebook) – so 20 banners total. By looking at your manual for a bit it, looks like I will need to create a campaign link (or campaign ID) for each one of the vendors correct? And if I wanted to track which banners sizes were converting I would have to create a campaign link for each banner size correct?
* My cloud server uses load balancing (and will spin up a new server instance if needed by the campaigns), will Stuff Tracker support this?
* I want to separate report analysis based on domain/subdomain users, will I be able to integrate it with my admin module, I do not want to run a separate application.
* Does it give some API to configure new things?
* Also, since this app is no longer supported, will we need to purchase additional site profiles if we exceed 10?
I would like a response quickly to make a decision
Thanks
